Claxon was very proud to participate in Fins Restaurant Bushfire Benefit held on Sunday, December 15th.
This season, fires have affected thousands of lives across the country and continue to pose a threat to further areas.
The charity event was held to raise funds for the Rural Fire Service, wildlife rescue organisations and communities affected by the devastating bushfires that have caused so much destruction throughout New South Wales and Queensland.
“We’re always looking for ways to support the community, so when presented with the opportunity to give back and support the amazing job the Rural Fire Service is doing we jumped on it” said Claxon CEO & Co-Founder Daniel Willis.
Held at Fins Plantation House at Duranbah in Northern NSW, the event brought together the local community who donated their time, skills, produce, staff, tunes, styling, auction items and more to create an incredible evening of first class hospitality.
Guests enjoyed courses prepared by celebrity chefs from local restaurants including Steven Snow from Fins and Darren Robertson from Byron Bay’s Three Blue Ducks. A charity auction was held to boost funds for the benefit, with Claxon donating a comprehensive Digital Growth Strategy valued at $15,000. Other sponsors included Billabong, Vissla Surf, Balter Brewing Company, Brookie’s Gin and Husk Distillers.
Claxon team members Kara Richards and Renee Shaw were among almost 200 guests attending in support of the cause. “It was amazing to see everyone come together to create such an amazing event in the spirit of helping those affected by the fires,” says Richards, Head of Innovation and Strategy at Claxon. “We’re really glad we could contribute in some way. This benefit was such a brilliant example of how we can make a difference and show our appreciation for those on the front lines of the bushfire crisis.”
The Bushfire Benefit was a charity event with 100% of proceeds going to the Rural Fire Service. Auction items and donations amassed a huge $51,800 in funds! We’re not yet sure who the lucky winner of the Digital Growth Strategy was but they’ll receive a complete omnichannel digital growth strategy for their business across paid social, paid search, programmatic and data pillars.
